With its sensitive combination of historic preservation and sustainable design, Gerding Theater at the Armory embodies the spirit of Portland. Donors celebrated the rebirth of the Armory by honoring Bob & Diana Gerding, the masterminds behind the effort. The adjacent Sliver Park honors former mayor Vera Katz.
